Scope of Work

1. Objective

To provide end-to-end fire safety consultancy services for planning, design, statutory compliance, and approval of fire protection systems, ensuring life safety, property protection, and compliance with OFS Rules, NBC, BIS and NFPA standards.

2. Applicable Codes & Standards

  • OFS Rules & Guidelines – Odisha Fire Service
  • National Building Code (NBC) of India
  • Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS / IS Codes)
  • NFPA Standards (NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72, etc. – where applicable)
  • TAC / Insurance Guidelines
  • Factory Act & Local Authority Requirements

3. Scope of Consultancy Services

3.1 Data Collection & Fire Risk Assessment

  • Site visit & detailed inspection
  • Review of architectural, structural & MEP drawings
  • Occupancy classification & hazard analysis
  • Fire load calculation
  • Identification of fire risks and critical areas

3.2 Fire Safety Design & Engineering

  • Conceptual fire safety design
  • Selection of appropriate fire protection systems including:
    • Fire hydrant & hose reel system
    • Automatic sprinkler / water-mist system
    • Fire detection & alarm system
    • Fire pump & water storage system
    • Gas / foam suppression system (if applicable)
  • Hydraulic calculations & system sizing
  • Fire zoning & coverage philosophy

3.3 Preparation of Fire Drawings

  • Fire layout drawings (GA)
  • Hydrant & sprinkler piping layouts
  • Fire pump room layout
  • Fire water tank layout
  • Fire alarm & detection drawings
  • Evacuation & escape route plans
  • Fire command center layout (if applicable)
  • Signage & emergency lighting layout

3.4 Fire Emergency & Evacuation Plan
