FABRICATION & HIRING OF FIRE FIGHTING VEHICLE / TENDER
Scope of Work
1. Objective
To design, fabricate, supply, and/or hire a fully equipped fire fighting vehicle (Fire Tender) for rapid response, fire suppression, rescue, and emergency operations at the client’s premises, ensuring round-the-clock fire protection and statutory compliance.
2. Scope of Services
2.1 Engineering & Design (For Fabrication)
- Assessment of site risk, access roads, and hazard profile
- Finalization of fire tender type:
- Water Tender
- Foam Tender
- Water-Mist / CAFS Tender
- Quick Response / Mini Fire Tender
- Vehicle layout & load distribution design
- GA drawings and equipment layout
- Compliance with NBC, IS & Fire Authority norms
2.2 Vehicle Fabrication & Supply
- Supply / integration on suitable chassis (OEM approved)
- Fabrication of:
- Water / foam tank (MS / SS / FRP / ZA)
- Pump house & equipment lockers
- Hose trays & ladder mounting
- Anti-corrosion treatment & fire-red painting
- Reflective markings, emergency lights & siren
- Roadworthiness & statutory vehicle compliance
2.3 Fire Fighting Systems on Vehicle
- Fire pump (PTO / auxiliary engine driven)
- Water tank (capacity as per requirement)
- Foam tank with proportioning system (if applicable)
- Hose reels, delivery hoses & suction hoses
- Branch pipes, nozzles & monitors
- Portable fire extinguishers
- Electrical system & control panel
2.4 Additional Equipment & Accessories
- Breathing Apparatus sets (optional)
- Rescue tools (axe, crowbar, cutter)
- First aid & burn treatment kit
- Portable lighting & traffic cones
- PA system & search lights
- Thermal imaging camera (optional)
3. Hiring of Fire Fighting Vehicle (Operational Scope)
3.1 Deployment
- Deployment of fire tender at client site
- 24×7 availability or shift-based deployment
- Standby during high-risk operations
3.2 Manpower (If Included)
- Trained fire crew including:
- Fire Officer / Supervisor
- Fireman
- Driver-cum-Pump Operator
- Certified & medically fit personnel
- Relief and replacement arrangement
3.3 Operations & Emergency Response
- Immediate response to fire and emergency calls
- Operation of hydrant & pump systems
- Rescue, evacuation & first aid support
- Coordination with local Fire Service
3.4 Maintenance & Upkeep
- Routine vehicle maintenance
- Pump & equipment inspection
- Fueling & consumables management
- Breakdown support & standby arrangement
4. Testing, Commissioning & Acceptance
- Pump performance and pressure testing
- Spray pattern & flow testing
- Vehicle road trial
- Acceptance testing by client / authority
5. Documentation & Deliverables
- Vehicle RC & statutory documents
- Equipment inventory list
- Test & inspection reports
- O&M manuals
- Training records
6. Standards & Compliance
The fire fighting vehicle / tender shall comply with:
- National Building Code (NBC) of India
- Relevant IS standards for fire tenders & pumps
- Automotive & pollution norms (BS-VI)
- TAC / Insurance guidelines
- Local Fire Authority / DGMS (for mining)
7. Contract Period (Hiring)
- Short-term / Long-term hiring (as agreed)
- Extendable based on performance

9. Exclusions (Unless Specified)
- Major accident repairs due to misuse
- Statutory fees beyond vehicle registration
- Specialized hazmat response

The fabricated and/or hired fire fighting vehicle shall ensure rapid response, effective firefighting, and compliance with fire safety norms, safeguarding life and assets at the client’s premises.
